Ekin Fil Being Near LP HMS 038 Loop August 2016 Ekin Üzeltüzenci aka Ekin Fil who lives in his hometown of Istanbul, is an artist of ambient and electronic music influenced by Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Cranes, among others. Since 2013 she have released five albums on labels such as Root Strata, Students Of Decay, No Kings, Sacred Phrases and this year on The Helen Scarsdale Agency, label founded in 2003 that have published some interesting underground artists such as Jim Haynes, Stilluppsteypa, Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson, BJ Nilsen and irr. app. (ext.). Ekin Fil’s music is surrounded by an aura of beautiful hauntingly with subtle guitar arrangements and electronics, with her distant voice and vocal melodies and indecipherable words. It reminds me of Black Tape For a Blue Girl from the '90s and more recently to Mara by their angelic and dark atmospheres. La música de Ekin Fil la rodea un aura de inquietante belleza con sutiles arreglos de guitarra y electrónica, junto a su distante voz que vocaliza algunas palabras indecifrables y melodiosas.
